The Fencing Officials Commission and USA Fencing’s National Office are happy to announce a change to the reimbursement policy for Part-time Tournament Officials.

Starting with the 2014-2015 season, Part-time Tournament Officials at NAC’s will receive up to $50 reimbursement per service day for housing and/or travel expenses, with appropriate receipts. This is in addition to lunch, honorarium, and per diem. Part-time Tournament Officials at Summer Nationals (Tournament Officials working fewer than five days) will receive up to $75 reimbursement per service day for housing and/or travel expenses, with appropriate receipts.

Also new this season is a modification to the honorarium for FIE B-rated referees. An FIE B-rated referee must have international activity within the past two seasons (verified via the FIE website) in order to receive the same honorarium as FIE A-rated and USA Fencing 1 & 2 rated referees. Inactive FIE B-rated referees, those without verifiable FIE activity within the past 2 years, will receive the same honorarium as USA Fencing 3 rated referees.

The 2014-2015 USA Fencing Domestic Expense Form will reflect these changes. Full details regarding definitions and compensation will be found on pages two and three of the new season’s form.
